USS SENNET has firm orders for a liberty port visit to

Myrtle Beach, SC  on    Oct. 11 - 15, 2009

We have locked in the dates and location for our next All Hands Reunion.  Mark your calendars for some really great liberty on October 11-15, 2009 in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Since our reunion isn't until the fall of 2009, it's still too early to make your reservations.  We expect to start taking reservations  Until then, here's a little more information about our upcoming reunion.

We have booked a great reunion location at the Landmark Resort which is right on the ocean beach, and your beach front rooms will cost you less than rooms in Charleston.

You can get a preview of the Landmark Resort at http://www.landmarkresort.com
(That's landmarkresort.com with no "s" on the end of resort)

In addition to being right on the beach, at the Landmark you'll enjoy indoor and outdoor pools, a lap pool, a water park, and a whirlpool.  What more could an old salt ask for?  Well, how about a 9 hole putt-putt course for you wanna be duffers and free wireless internet for everyone.  Is there more?  You bet!  Landmark's rooms have private balconies, refrigerators, microwaves, and in-room safes.  And if you fly into Myrtle Beach, Landmark provides a free shuttle service to / from the airport, so you won't need a rental car or taxi.

That's gonna cost... right?  Wrong!

Prices range from $40 to $63 night (plus taxes & resort fees) for a wide variety of accommodations from the economical Interior-View Rooms to the Deluxe Ocean Front Suites.  The hotel has agreed to extend our special room rates (based on availability) for early arrivals and / or late departures so that crew members and their families can make their visit to Myrtle Beach a whole family vacation.  Like we said above, it's too early to make your reservations now, but we have a block of rooms reserved for our reunion, and we will provide more information about reservations in the near future.

 So what's in Myrtle Beach?

Like any great liberty port, there are lots of things to see and do in Myrtle Beach.   We are currently looking at theaters and restaurants for a "dinner and show" evening, planning a golf tournament, a banquet, a memorial service, and a few surprises.  And of course Myrtle Beach is famous for it's 60 miles of beautiful sandy beaches.  You can get a sampling of the Myrtle Beach attractions at http://www.mbchamber.com  Stay tuned.  In the near future, we will be posting information about our reunion tours and tournaments.

The countdown has started, and there musters once more for some great liberty, good sea stories and true submarine camaraderie!

See you on the Beach!
